Labour Day in New Zealand History – Tonight!

Thursday 18th October, 6pm. 26 Arthur Baker Place, Blenheim.

Come to the Marlborough Museum at 6pm and meet and meet Samuel Parnell (played by Brian MacNamara), the father of the eight-hour working day along with modern-day Marlborough workers toiling in our vineyards.

Julie Neal from Thornhill and some RSE workers will be talking about current labour issues.

This presentation celebrates Labour Day and the origins of the eight-hour working day whilst looking at current working conditions here in Marlborough.
