CHAIRMANS COMMENT

Hello to all our members, volunteers and supporters I hope this newsletter finds you safe and well, and not going too crazy in your lockdown situation. What unusual times we are living in.

As you are probably aware Kaipupu has been in complete lockdown as well. Under level three we are able to do one trap monitoring session which is underway at present. Thank you to the team who are doing this check, it will be a big job after such a long time of no checking, cleaning and resetting of traps. To get this event up and running has involved an enormous amount of work by Trudy and Rachel with consultation with Port Marlborough and DOC, thank you to all those involved who helped get our monitoring up and going again.

During this time we are humbled by the support of our sponsors, members and volunteers.  We couldn't do this without you, so thank you to each and every one.  Now is also the time to support those local businesses that support organisations like ours, please make sure to have a look at our supporters list at the end of this newsletter and support them too!

As people have been saying during the lockdown “look forward to seeing you on the other side” and of course on Kaipupu.
