Te Ātiawa o te Waka-a-Mauī Trust wish to invite registered and non-registered members of Te Atiawa to Hui at Waikawa Marae. This hui will enable Trustees to provide feedback to iwi along with half yearly update.

Community Law assistance with Māori Land Court applications

Community Law wants to notify whānau that the last sitting of the Māori Land Court for this year is in September and the close off date for accepting any applications is 11 July. If you are planning on filing any applications to the Māori Land Court and need some help, Dee Turner Māori Liason / Case Worker based in Blenheim is available to review your documents at no cost.

Matariki Waitohi Picton Festival

Matariki Waitohi Picton Festival

15th June to 22nd July

Lights, performers, and feasting – Picton will be full of new energy this winter, with plans well underway for a community festival linked to Matariki. The Arts and Heritage Working Group of Picton Smart & Connected is championing the new festival, which will run from 15 June to 23 July.

The year marks the first time the community will come together under the Matariki sky for five weeks of activities.

To date, we have two events and we’re looking forward to confirming more in the coming weeks.

A vacancy exists for a Maori Representative (Trustee) on the Board of Nelson Bays Primary Health. The Board is the governing body of Nelson Bays Primary Health, guiding the application in Nelson and Tasman of the government’s vision of better primary health for all New Zealanders.
