Mauri wāhine – Mauri Tane is a kaupapa that recognizes
and highlights the intrinsic strengths
and authority that are inherent in women
and men as progenies of Māreikura & Whatukura
(the realm of women and men).
The wānanga provides the space for whānau to engage and participate in areas of growth and learning relevant to concepts, principles and practices which add value to identity, whānau wellbeing and gender status, within a kaupapa Māori framework.

We provide a full range of netting, twine & rope (including wire rope) and an extensive range of hardware and fittings (including stainless steel) and products for commercial fishing, logging, yachting, engineering, heavy lifting, building and many other industries. We currently have a vacancy at our Nelson branch. We are seeking a person who ideally has experience in building, engineering or construction trades and is looking for new challenges. This is a hands-on role, covering all aspects of rigging. Duties will include the construction of wire rope assemblies according to company methods and international standards utilizing the safest and most efficient means possible. The role will also see you involved with the testing and certification of lifting gear. The ability to deliver outstanding customer service is essential. The position requires a person who is physically fit, motivated to succeed and who has excellent time management skills. You will be safety conscious and like to work as part of a wider team. You will have a great attitude to work, be friendly and helpful and proactively seek out opportunities within the company to improve efficiencies.
