GirlBoss Government, Policy and Law Programme

The applications for GirlBoss Government, Policy and Law Programme are going well but we still would like to have more Māori and Pacific girls participating. So far 33% of the applications are young Maori and Pacific students. We would like to see this increase to 50%.

The GirlBoss Edge is a 10 day online career accelerator for young women aged 16 - 18 interested in a career in Law, Policy, or Government.

The programme is fully-funded by the Ministry of Education. Selected students will gain:

  • 1:1 Mentoring with leaders working in Law, Policy & Government.
  • Live Sessions with High Profile Mentors such as: Harvard Lawyer, Rez Gardi, Minister for Social Development, Hon. Carmel Sepuloni, United Nations Lawyer, Martina Caruana, and AUT Indigenous Law Professor, Khylee Quince.
  • A CV Worthy experience via the Justice Challenge in partnership with some of New Zealand's biggest industry players such as DLA Piper, The US Embassy, The Ministry of Justice, The Office for Māori Crown Relations, and Chapman Tripp. Imagine having the biggest names in Law & Justice on your CV - before even leaving high school!
  • Confidence and invaluable career skills with the GirlBoss self-paced modules on Personal Branding; Networking; Interviewing and LinkedIn.

Can you pass this on to your networks so that if they know of young Māori and Pacific girls that are passionate about a career in Law, Policy, or Government, make sure to apply today!

Applications are open now and will close on June 30th with the programme running online in the July School Holidays (4 - 13th July.)
