NOTIFICATION RE CONTINUATION OF AERIAL PREFEED APPLICATION IN THE AORERE BLOCK

Further to earlier notification, Vector Free Marlborough Limited (VFML) wishes to advise landowners and other interested parties that it will be continuing the aerial application of non-toxic prefeed bait in the western portion of the Aorere block, from dawn on 04/08/2020.  It is expected this will take up to two days to complete, subject to weather.

The eastern portion of the Aorere block (refer accompanying map) had non-toxic prefeed aerially applied to it on 27/07/2020, but weather conditions prevented completion of the remainder.

The Aorere operation is being carried out on behalf of the Department of Conservation as part of its Tiakina Ngā Manu programme to control a range of introduced predators threatening vulnerable native species.  These species include whio, rock wren, kea, kaka, great spotted kiwi, Powelliphanta snails and long-tailed bats.  Additional information and maps of the project area may be obtained from the DOC and VFML websites or by contacting VFML per the details below.

Further notification will be provided prior to the aerial application of toxin beginning.
