About the role

We have a fantastic opportunity for someone to come and work in our beautiful part of the country as a Kaitakawaenga - Iwi Liaison Officer. Be part of an expanding and innovative MPES team who live the values of Whakaiti, Manaakitanga, Kaitiakitanga, Whanaungatanga and Tikanga.

 

The successful candidate will have experience in achieving supportive resolutions, engaging different partners and stakeholders within the community and wider district, and influencing the mind-set of those they work with in order to better provide resolutions that support iwi and community needs.

 

If you love working with our community and being the face of Police within the Māori community, this is the job for you. You will bridge and enhance relationships with Māori and other ethnic communities and develop positive relationships for safer communities together.

Special Requirements:

  • To apply for this role you must be a NZ or Australian Citizen or NZ permanent resident
  • The successful applicant will be required to undergo a full reference and security check prior to any offer of employment being made
  • Successful applicant must reside in Marlborough / Blenheim area
  • Transfer Costs included
