At Plant & Food Research we conduct research that adds value to fruit, vegetable, crop and food products. Our science and commercialisation supports the production of high quality produce and novel functional foods that earn a premium in international markets.

We're seeking an exceptional individual to provide leadership and guidance in implementing our Māori strategy. Reporting to the Group General Manager Māori, you'll provide advice and expertise as you work closely with other members of the Māori Team and the wider organisation leading strategic projects, undertaking high level analyses and developing thinking in a range of areas. Your strengths  in relationship management will see you co-ordinate and manage the provision of information and advice to develop proposals, grow relationships and secure projects and revenue.

You'll be degree qualified, preferably in science, social science, management, law or business together with at least ten years' experience working with Māori and/or the Crown and relevant sectors. Well-versed in relevant tikanga and mātauranga Māori, the principles of the Treaty of Waitangi and Te Reo me ona Tikanga, you'll have demonstrated your ability to build successful partnerships with Māori. Substantial experience involving analyses, internal consultation and engagement, and interaction with decision makers will be essential.
